• Seed beads
are measured with a /0 numbering system.
The higher the number, the smaller the bead. The number refers to the
approximate number of beads, per inch, when layed flat (not strung). For
example, an 11/0 bead has approximately 11 beads per inch.
• Czech seed beads are very uniform in size and shape. They are the best beads
for weaving.
• Japanese Delica beads are incredible little tubes of glass. Very
uniform, with large holes proportionate to their size. Many colors unique to
delica beads. 8 gram packs . Delicas are size 11/0, jumbo delicas are size 8/0.
• Bugle beads are measured with a standard # sign. Size #2 is 3/16” long.
Size #3 is 1/4” long. Size #5 is 1/2” long.
• Czech seed beads sizes 8/0-16/0 and bugle bead sizes #2-#5 are sold by
the hank. A
hank is a strung bunch of beads. Each hank contains approximately 10-12 strings
each 20” long (or 240” total). Please note: hanks of 3-cuts and Charlottes
are shorter than standard seed bead hanks.
• Japanese delicas, Czech seed beads size 6/0 and Czech one inch bugle beads
are sold loose in packs. 6/0 beads are approximately 38 gram packs, 50-60”
when strung.
• Please note: Most Czech seed beads ship on hanks. However due to the method
by which they are processed, a small portion ship loose (in hank
equivalents). We are unable to guarantee that all hanks shipped in your order
are strung, or loose. It is our feeling that the quality of these beads makes it
well worth dealing with this slight variation.
• We recommend ordering adequate beads to finish an entire project as
different shipments may vary slightly in color.
